Teacher

Tuvia Aronson was raised in a family of Canadian Zionist leaders, and his parents brought him up with a strong Torah education. He earned a BA in Philosophy from Yeshiva University while pursuing graduate and other courses in Advanced Judaic Studies.

Tuvia has taught in a variety of educational settings for over a decade. After starting his career as an informal educator, basketball coach and school social worker, he taught Judaic studies for several years in Boston and Toronto. At that point, Tuvia moved outdoors to serve as an instructor and lead educator at the Teva Learning Center, the foremost Jewish environmental education center in the US.

Before making Aliyah in 2002, Tuvia founded the Jewish Nature Centre of Canada known as Torat HaTeva. Once in Israel, Tuvia served as a Judaica specialist evaluating ancient texts for online auctions until he joined the staff at AMHSI. Tuvia joined AMHSI as a teacher in 2003 and lives in Jerusalem with his wife and two young children.
