Sharon Azmon Markowitz was born in Brooklyn, New York. She lived a small part of her life in Israel and returns there frequently to visit family and friends.

She was very involved in USY, serving as president of her chapter and participated in USY Pilgrimage. She taught Hebrew and was a Youth Advisor during her college days. Sharon graduated from Adelphi University with a B.A. in Poltical Science.

Sharon currently resides in Long Beach with her husband, Michael, and they have a daughter.

Her love for Israel has brought her to AMHSI as Director of Admissions.
