Linda Hurst was born in Chicago but grew up in Indiana and received her BA in education from Indiana University. She moved to Boca Raton, Florida with her husband and 6 children in 1989.

Linda has been very active in the Jewish community and has served on the UJA Young Women's Leadership Cabinet and worked for South Palm Beach County Jewish Federation's Jewish Family Services in the Russian Resettlement program as the vocational and education counselor for all the families settled there. In 1997, after sending three of her own children to the Alexander Muss High School in Israel, she joined AMHSI as the Director of Admissions for the Palm Beach County community.
