Dana Gerbie Klein was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Evanston. She first visited Israel with her confirmation class on a NFTY trip when she was 16. After graduating from Tulane University, she lived for a year in Yoqneam, Israel as a Sherut Laam volunteer and returns to Israel frequently to visit.
She has a Masters in Jewish Communal Service from the Benjamin S. Hornstein Program at Brandeis University. She worked for several years at the Jewish Federation of the North Shore in Marblehead, MA.
Living in Boston with her husband Andrew and three children, she is very active at her children’s schools. Her oldest daughter Talia attended Alexander Muss High School in Israel last year and her daughter Haley will go at the beginning of her junior year. Her daughter Sophie is signed up for the 2012 program.
Dana recently joined AMHSI as the Director of Admissions for the New England Region, including Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Maine.
