Teacher

Arie Hasit joins the teaching staff of the Alexander Muss High School in Israel as the culmination of a number of long time dreams. After graduating from Harvard University with a degree in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations and History in 2005, Arie moved to Israel to pursue his dreams of studying in Israel, teaching in Israel and following Israeli hip hop. He traded in his academic study of hip hop for full-time teaching, but he continues to follow the genre and spread his love of Israeli music to his students. When not at Muss, Arie can be found reading Torah regularly at Kehilat Tiferet Shalom, a Masorti community in Ramat Aviv, and teaching Torah and Haftarah trope to Tel Aviv's best and brightest. In 2007, he made aliyah and participated in his first session of AMHSI, fulfilling two things he has wanted to do since before he even started high school.
