 TeacherAlan Odess was born in the Bronx, NY. He received a BA in Psychology, Rabbinic Ordination, and an MS in Jewish History from Yeshiva University. He also holds an MS in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University Teachers College. Alan taught in Day Schools in the United States for four years and an additional three years in a yeshiva junior high school in Israel after making Aliyah with his wife, Judy, in 1975. He joined AMHSI as a core teacher in 1978 and has taught thousands of students over the years. He now has the pleasure of teaching the children of some of his alumni stduents. Alan has taught a number of adult groups as well, including groups of North American educators, and spent two months as Scholar-in Residence in Philadelphia, co-sponsored by ACAJE.
