AMIIE is always seeking Madrichim for our High School in Israel division and for our Jewish Day School programs division.

We offer the opportunity to work with an outstanding staff of Educators who are committed, warm and supportive.

We offer the opportunity to be a part of developing and strengthening the Jewish identity of young Americans – to contribute, in a direct and meaningful way, to the future of the Jewish people.

  • Are you a college grad, preferably between the ages 22-28?

  • Do you like and have you had experience working with teenagers?
  • The excellence of our Madrichim has an enormous effect on the experiences of our students and, each year, we look to hire only the best!

Our Madrichim are residential counselors: They live in the dorms and serve as authentic Jewish adult role models for the students. The position entails responsibility for the physical and emotional well-being of our students, in addition to challenging logistical and administrative duties. We look for people who are energetic, witty, playful, organized, thoughtful, and most importantly, committed.

    • Responsibility; initiative; adaptability; flexibility; maturity; ability to be a team player

    • Madrich/a Responsibilities:

    • Arranging Israeli culture activities both on and off campus
    • Being a role model to the students: someone who the students can look up to and learn from
    • Being a liaison between the group and senior staff
    • Enforcing all AMIIE policies, rules and regulations
    • Organizing holiday-related programming and Shabbat programming
    • Administrative duties: Taking care of logistical needs of the group regarding Tiyul days and while on campus, coordinating free weekend home hospitality
    • *Madrichim are paid a monthly salary and all room and board are covered. Madrichim should be able to commit for at least 4 months of work. Each of the Madrichim is allowed one day off each week. Some (but not all) of the weekends will be free too. AMIIE does not cover any flight cost for Madrichim arriving from oversees.
